Situated at the foot of the Madelaine Pass, the ski resort of Saint François Longchamp combines the pleasures of skiing with those of family holidays. With its ski runs for beginners at 1450m, and slopes for intermediate skiers, St François is a place for leisurely skiing in a peaceful holiday atmosphere. St François is the first resort at the entrance of the Maurienne Valley and is linked to Valmorel through the Tarentaise Valley. At the heart of the Massif de la Lauzière, St François Longchamp distinguishes itself from the larger winter sports resort of Valmorel due to its village spirit and family-friendly atmosphere. Part of the Grand Domaine, St François offers skiers and snowboarders over 160km of pisted runs with a variation in altitude of 1300m. The main asset of the ski resort is its quick access from the motorway, which is only 12km away.
